Renting a leisure vehicles (Motorhomes and Equipped 4×4’s) in South Africa is far easier than what you may think. iDeal Travel works with many of the top Southern African vehicle rental suppliers including Maui, Britz, Bobo Campers and Safari 4×4 Hire. Our specialty is Motorhome and Equipped 4×4 rentals. We also offer standard unequipped 4×4 and SUV rentals.
The Vehicle Booking Process
Once a client requests a quote through our website, we go through the following stages:
Availability
We contact the relevant supplier to confirm availability of the requested vehicle. If the vehicle is not available, we contact the client to offer an alternative vehicle where possible.
Quotation
Once we confirm vehicle availability, we generate an email a full quotation along with the supplier rental terms and conditions.
Booking
When the client indicates that they accept the quote, we then ensure vehicle availability and confirm the booking with the supplier.
Invoice/Payment
We then generate and issue an invoice to our client. Payment is then due to us according to one of two scenarios.
- Rentals that are less than 50 days away from the invoice date, we require a full payment within 24 hours of the invoice being sent.
- Rentals that are more than 50 days away from the invoice date, we require a 50% deposit and the balance 35 days prior to the rental date. Alternative payment arrangements or structures can be made on request.
We accept local direct local and international EFT payments and local and international Credit Card payments.
Confirmation
Once a payment is received, we issue our client a confirmation letter that contains all their booking information including their reservation number and the supplier collection and return details.
Vehicle Collection
Most of our suppliers have secure parking facilities for clients to leave their own vehicles during their travel dates. Airport and Hotel transfers can be arranged for local and international clients who are flying to the relevant vehicle collection city.
Vehicle Returns
Once the trip is over, the client has to return the vehicle to the relevant supplier location unless alternative prior arranges have been made.
Airport and Hotel transfers can be arranged on request.
