Africa Safari Hire is a specialist Travel Agency based in South Africa. We have a keen interest in travelling and helping others experience Southern Africa through Camping in Motorhomes and 4×4 Campers.

The travel market also relies on non-equipped vehicles. As a result, we also offer 4×4 LDV, SUV rentals as well as regular car rental.

Where is Africa Safari Hire based?

Our administrative office is based in Johannesburg, South Africa however, our supplier depots are based in:

  • South Africa – Johannesburg, Cape Town and various sub depots
  • Namibia – Windhoek and various sub depots
  • Botswana – Maun and various sub-depots

Does Africa Safari Hire own the rental vehicles?

No, Africa Safari Hire is a Specialist Travel Agency and do not own a fleet of rental vehicles. The vehicles are own by our carefully selected vehicle rental suppliers.

Why does Africa Safari Hire not offer an automated quoting system?

We believe in offering a personalised service with human contact. We manually quote each and every client and offer them the best deal possible.

Does Africa Safari Hire offer regular car rental?

Yes!

We have a wide list of regular car rental options to chose from.

Can I preview a vehicle?

A preview can be arranged on request. A preview is subject to vehicle availability and an appointment must be pre-arranged through Africa Safari Hire.

What is the minimum rental period?

This is dependant on our suppliers. A 7-day minimum is preferred, but most suppliers will allow a 5-day minimum rental on request by Africa Safari Hire. A rental shorter than 7 days is strictly subject to approval.

Unequipped vehicles (LDV, SUV and Cars) have a minimal rental period of 3 days.

What payment methods do we accept?

We accept Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) as well as Credit Card payment through a secure online payment link.

We give international clients the option of using a 3rd party payment gateway that gives clients the option of a EFT or Credit Card to make payment.

Should an international client elect to pay in any other method such as SWIFT or PayPal, we will NOT accept the accociate payment charges.

How do I contact Africa Safari Hire?

We are proud to be open 7 days a week, 365 days a year!

Most of our first contacts with clients are made through a client completing an enquiry form on the vehicle that they are interested in. We will then issue a quote if the vehicle is available.

We will only not quote the client on the same day if we first need to confirm vehicle availability with our suppliers.
